પછી દાઉદે ગાદને કહ્યું, “હું ભારે દ્વિધામાં મુકાયો છું. મને માણસોના હાથમાં પડવા કરતાં યહોવાહના હાથમાં પડવું એ વધારે સારું લાગે છે, કેમ કે તેમની કૃપા અત્યંત છે.”

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
