เมื่อมีบางคนไปทูลดาวิดถึงเรื่องคนเหล่านั้น พระองค์ก็ทรงใช้ให้ไปรับเขา เพราะคนเหล่านั้นอายมาก และกษัตริย์ตรัสว่า “จงพักอยู่ที่เมืองเยรีโคจนกว่าเคราของท่านทั้งหลายจะขึ้น แล้วจึงค่อยกลับมา”
