Nang makita ng lahat ng haring tagapaglingkod ni Hadadezer na tinalo sila ng Israel, nakipagkasundo sila kay David at naglingkod sa kanila. Kaya hindi na pumayag ang mga Arameo na tulungan ang mga Ammonita.
