અરામીઓ સમજી ગયા કે પોતે ઇઝરાયલીઓથી પરાજિત થયા છે. એટલે તેમણે સંદેશાવાહકો મોકલીને નદી પારના બીજા અરામીઓને હદાદેઝેરના સેનાપતિ શોફાખની આગેવાની હેઠળ બોલાવી લીધા.
