Daudi akateka magari ya vita 1,000 miongoni mwa magari yake, waendesha hayo magari ya kukokotwa na farasi 7,000 na askari wa miguu 20,000. Daudi akakata mishipa ya miguu ya nyuma ya farasi wote wakokotao magari, ila akabakiza 100.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
