അവന്റെ വക ആയിരം രഥങ്ങളെയും ഏഴായിരം കുതിരപ്പടയാളികളെയും ഇരുപതിനായിരം കാലാളുകളെയും ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചു; ദാവീദ് അവയിൽ നൂറു രഥകൂതിരകളെ വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ശേഷം രഥകൂതിരകളെ ഒക്കെയും കുതിഞരമ്പു വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
