కాబట్టి ఆ ముగ్గురు బలవంతులూ ఫిలిష్తీ సైన్యంలోకి చొరబడ్డారు. వారి మధ్యలో నుండి వెళ్ళి ఆ ఊరి ద్వారం దగ్గర బావిలోని నీళ్ళు తోడుకుని వాటిని దావీదుకు తెచ్చి ఇచ్చారు. కానీ దావీదు ఆ నీళ్ళు తాగేందుకు నిరాకరించాడు. వాటిని యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా పారబోసాడు.
