அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர்கள் எல்லோரும் எப்ரோனிலே ராஜாவிடம் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது எப்ரோனிலே யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்துகொண்டபின்பு, யெகோவா சாமுவேலைக்கொண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே அவர்கள் தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்தார்கள்.

Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
